As a kid, this was Christmas breakfast and we always looked forward to it. Now this nutritious version is an everyday staple. Make it ahead and your family will be running to the breakfast table as they smell the delicious aroma.
Apple Cinnamon Baked Oatmeal
Servings: 12 servings
Ingredients
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 cups non-dairy milk
- 1/2 cup applesauce
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 apples, peeled & finely diced
- 1 cup craisins optional, nice for Christmas
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Combine all together in a large mixing bowl.
- Pour into a sprayed 9×13 casserole.
- Bake 45-50 minutes or until top is beginning to turn golden.
