Delicious ooey-gooey whole foods, plant based chocolate chip cookies. Make sure to grind your walnuts finely in a food processor (recommended) or blender. Alternatively you can use almond flour but walnuts will yield the best results.
Chocolate Chip Cookies (Oil-Free)
Melt-in-your-mouth oil-free chocolate chips cookies
Servings: 15 cookies
Equipment
- Food Processor For grinding walnuts, can use blender
Ingredients
- 2 cups white whole wheat flour
- 1 cup walnuts ground fine in food processor (or blender)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup non-dairy milk
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseed (flax meal)
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup non-dairy chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine together flour, ground walnuts, baking soda, and salt.
- Add in maple syrup, milk, ground flaxseed, and vanilla. When combined, stir in chocolate chips last.
- Bake 8 minutes, then remove from oven and place on cookie rack to cool. They will be soft when you remove them from the oven-that's how you want it!
